About the CIN

The Victorian Public Service Continuous Improvement Network (VPSCIN) is a whole of government network sponsored by the State Coordination & Management Council and includes 4187 members across the Victorian Public Sector. The purpose of the network is to encourage and promote continuous improvement (CI) thought leadership and practice, and in doing so help build a more effective and agile Public Sector. The terms of reference are to:
- Promote an understanding of the business benefits of CI,
- Identify and champion opportunities for CI across the VPS,
- Empower staff and build capability, &
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of the network.
The network is jointly funded by the Departments of:
- Justice,
- Premier & Cabinet,
- Treasury & Finance,
- Human Services,
- Education & Early Childhood Development
- Sustainability & Environment,
- Primary Industries,
- Transport,
- Planning & Community Development,
- Innovation, Industry & Regional Development, &
- Victoria Police.
The Chair of the VPSCIN is Jim Betts, Secretary of the Department of Transport.
