Simplicity Facilitators Trained

On Feb 28 & 29, seventeen facilitators from across Victorian Government were trained in Edward de Bono’s Simplicity methods at the Airlie Leadership Development Centre (ALDC).

DPI & DSE practice thinking in parallel

Today staff from Primary Industries and Sustainability & Environment gathered at Werribee to take part in a parallel thinking workshop.
Through the day long session the group explored a range of thinking tools including the discipline of Focus, the Six Thinking Hats and Lateral Thinking tools and considered ways in which the tools might be applied [...]

Some will have noted the site was not looking its usual self over the weekend.  
This was because we were upgrading to a new software version and adding in some additional security.

CIN members please note that to accommodate the strong demand we have had for Tony Buzan’s session we have moved next Wednesday’s session across St Kilda Rd to Zinc at Federation Square.
Rather than keep a large number on a waiting list, the opportunity has arisen to seat everyone in a larger venue. This way no-one misses out.

We see so many people these days attached to MP3 players blaring music at unhealthy decibel levels. Apart from the long term hearing damage (and possibly brain damage considering the music) the real tragedy of this, are the many learning opportunities being missed out on.
One senses that we could be on the verge of a revolution in the way people learn, by utilising the down-time [...]
